My Story
Ezekiel Dugbatey Agbenorsi Nanor is a Writer/director at the Obonu TV, a substation under the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, that seeks to promote and preserve the culture of the Ga-Adangbe. Nanor and his friends created a drama group after completing his Secondary education in Madina, a suburb of Accra. The drama group was called “The Path Finders,” Among the group were names like Ms. Doris Donkoh and Mr. Augustine Abbey (Idikoko). The group’s unique performances led them to perform at the National Film and Television Institute, and this was when Nanor discovered his full potential and got himself admission to study film.
Nanor battled his way through the film industry, working with headstrong producers and crew. In 1998, Nanor became a writer/director at HM Films and went to Kumasi to shoot and write his first films, “Betrayal” and “Expectations.” Nanor worked on several film projects and never gave up, even after being deceived by producers. He was promised a new house and a car that never became a reality. After working with various Nigerian actors, he was called up to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation to direct the show “Obra.”
